ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

There are seven different Sunday School classes for adults and the ages and subject matters are quite diverse.  We're sure you will be able to find a class that's just right for you.

Young Adult Sunday School Class - taught by Pastor Jim Hamilton.  They are beginning a study on the book Heaven is For Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo.

F.A.Q. (Faith Asks Questions) - Will begin a study of the book of Revelation this Sunday, January 15 at 9:15am in the Diversity classroom.  This study will run for 10-13 weeks and will explore this rich and bewildering book that closes the Bible.  Revelation contains passages of great beauty and comfort, as well as passages that can seem bizarre or bewildering to the casual reader.  The class will utilize the book Breaking the Code: Understanding the Book of Revelation and the accompanying video series to supplement the reading of the biblical book and to guide discussion about the symbolism of hope and redemption.  Books are available for $9.00 per book.  Please contact Rick Quinn if you are interested.  This class starts at 9:05am.

JourneyThis class will begin a study of Rev. Martin Thielen’s book, What’s The Least I Can Believe and Still Be A Christian: A Guide to What Matters Most during the Sunday School hour this Sunday, January 15 at 9:15am.  Pastor and author Martin Thielen has compiled a list of ten things Christians need to believe--and ten things they don't--to "qualify" as Christians. This lively and engaging book will be a help to seekers as well as a comfort to believers who may find themselves questioning some of the assumptions they grew up with.  The Journey Class meets upstairs on the balcony level in a classroom across from the choir robe room.  This Sunday morning study will be facilitated by Dale Wells.  If you were part of the Tuesday night study on this book and would be willing to lend your copy of the book to a participant in this Sunday School Class please contact Steve or Sandie Glover or leave a copy with the church office.

**J.O.Y., Builders, and Fellowship Classes

These three adult Sunday School classes will be embarking on a rich journey throughout the Old Testament during the Fall quarter.  These classes use a wonderful resource called Adult Bible Study.  A BS offers engagement with the Bible in depth along with practical application to life.  Included in the student books is a feature entitled “Daily Bible Study” where you are given selected readings of Scripture fore each day of the following week.  Each reading offers an opportunity to explore a facet of the lesson to be studied the following Sunday.  The J.O.Y. class meets in room 201 in the hall going to the sanctuary.  The Fellowship Class meets in the chapel and the Builders’ class meets in Room 219.
