Stewardship

Stewardship plays an important role in the life of Donelson Heights United Methodist Church. One essential element of Stewardship is giving back a portion of what God has generously given us. These gifts enable Donelson Heights to fund the programs and ministries that are vital to the growth of our church. The joy of giving brings a new satisfaction to our lives and helps us reach out to others in many different ways.

Not only do we need our financial gifts, we need our gifts of time. Time spent in working at the church in leadership roles, in teaching opportunities, in keeping our facilities clean and operational, in planning special projects, in reaching out to the community, and participating in the activities of Donelson Heights. Time is a precious commodity and our ministries need some of your time.

Stewardship is also being able to offer your talent. You may enjoy visiting with shut-ins or offering support to members who need a listening ear. You might have ability in art or decorating or even planning an event. You may even have a talent of which the church is not aware but could be used quite effectively. Talent comes in many varieties and should not be hidden under a basket.

As you can see Stewardship covers a broad range of possibilities. As we go through the year be willing to try new ideas and see how your strengths can be utilized. Feel free to express your ideas and concerns and let's make Donelson Heights United Methodist Church an exciting place to be.
