Music Ministries
Music is a vital
part of the United Methodist Church, and forms and integral part of the ministry
at Donelson Heights. Along with the activities listed below, we often have
special musicians play during our services.
Chancel
Choir - This is group is also intergenerational in makeup, for anyone from
9th grade and above who enjoys singing. This choir leads worship and and
sings a special anthem 48 - 50 times during the year as well as a special
Christmas program. The group rehearses
at 6:15 p.m. each Wednesday evening.
Joyful Echoes - This Choir is composed of 4 - 6 year olds. It rehearses from 9:00 - 9:25 a.m. every Sunday morning during the school year. The Joyful Echoes sing during Sunday Worship 4 or 5 times a year, as well as special Christmas and Spring programs.

Handbell Choir
- We are looking for bell ringers!
Practices are Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m.
If you have wanted to play the bells,
now is your chance. Playing
handbells is fun and adds a
lot to the worship service. See Dale
Wells if you are interested.
This is an intergenerational group who enjoy the ministry of ringing
bells. They play during
Sunday Worship 4 or 5 times each year, and on occasion, accompany the Chancel
Choir during an anthem.
NEW--> We are hoping to start a Children's Bell Choir. If you are interested, come to our meeting on January 8th at 4 p.m.
That's okay! The Bible doesn't ask a thing about CAN you sing, it tells us TO SING! We are to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord!"
If you enjoy singing and want to be part of the choir, please join us. We welcome new faces and the voices that go with them.
